2 months after launch, Design Stuff Daily has it’s magazine debut after being featured alongside some of my other work in Web Designer Magazine #173. The double page spread features 5 sites I have designed while at 2Dmedia Limited, plus good old Design Stuff Daily!

UK Based Web Designer Jason Stone is relatively new to the industry, currently enjoying his 3rd year as the lead Web Designer for Essex based 2Dmedia Limited. Having developed an interest in computing from a young age and always having a fascination for Art & Design, it is not surprising he ended up where he is today.

After gaining a National Diploma in Fine Art specialising in 3D, then going to University to study Special Effects and Model Design, Jason decided to focus in the 2D world and turned back to the computer screen. It was by pure chance that Jason ended up working for 2Dmedia when the company was still in it’s infancy and he was seeking to improve his Photoshop skills.

He explains: “One of my friends approached me and offered me the position, as I could use Photoshop and was keen to learn more!” Almost 3 years later, Jason is determined to develop his skills further having recently launched his personal blog and portfolio site, designstuffdaily.com. Jason’s weapon of choice is Photoshop, with a helping of Illustrator and Flash on the side to compliment. “Quite simply, I love designing websites and I am continuing to learn daily, getting my inspiration from the real world and the people around me”.

In other updates, you may have noticed the layout change on the homepage. I have been experimenting with some CSS3 tooltips too! The idea is to make the articles more accessible at a glance and bring more images to the homepage. Any constructive feedback is more than welcome!
